I tried one of the teas that I have for sale after finally getting a mesh tea ball. It was very good and so far I've made two mugs. We shall see if it actually brings me prosperity...to help it along I've sent in another application and am going up to the store tomorrow to talk to someone.
List of Herbs in the tea:
Black Tea
Pennyroyal
Parsley
Basil
Meadow-sweet
Sage
Clover
Mistletoe
Rosehips
Maybe someone who knows herbs can tell me why mistletoe is included..I thought it was poisonous.
This is a blog following my deeper journey into the world of Wicca.

Ritual
I had a question that I posted on witchforum.net "What do you do before you begin a ritual? Is it something different for Esbats, Sabbats, and just regular workings or do you do the same thing every time?"
Here are some answers I've received
Vakanai said: "I haven't done a ritual yet, but I think I'd do the basic steps I do for meditation or just getting my mind silent, focused, and in the right kind of state for doing something important. Get my posture good, back straight, shoulders back, head straight. Clear my head and relax. Breath deep and regular. I usually imagine myself walking down stairs, 21 steps, counting backwards from 21 (I got it from a book, Psi-Kinetic Power; it really does get my mind to a bit of a deeper place than usual). I'm trying to get in the habit of shielding and grounding/centering as well. Pretty basic."
Snowdog said: "I will ground and center then meditate, I'll ask the goddess and god to to be with me as well as my spirit guides and totems for guidance. I then meditate in the void until the circle is cleansed and altar consecrated. We do ritual with our coven so if I am helping our HP to cleanse and consecrate I will meditate a few miutes before we start. The important thing is to forget everything that has happened or is going to happen in the world and focus your energy and mind to the ritual. I think of it as trying to have a conversation with someone with the television on that has a show running that I am interested in, you can't concentrate and give 100% of your attention to that person. Turn the TV off, clear your mind of drama and focus on the important things."
Ken Ra said: "The day of the ritual I schedule for low stress. Meals are easy to eat foods, enough to fill but not stuff me. I will have a shower with baking soda salt and Myrrh. I will check and prep my working space. Then I will tighten my courage and jump into the ritual."

Candle Magick
I've been in need of divine help in my life for a while now. I need to know if I should give up and let go of Wolf, I also want to figure out my life course. So, I took a plain white candle and since I don't have any oil I rubbed it in my hands for a few minutes. Then, I took a toothpick and wrote my name, followed by the Runes Rad, Nyd, Algix, and Eh followed by Wolf's name. I let it burn while I slept and buried it in the yard today. I am hoping that I will start to find a direction I like and move forward with it.

Pagan Blog Promt
Prompt: Your Sacred Space
What is your sacred space like? Is it a permanent set up, or something you only create when you need it? What sorts of things do you need in order to make your space sacred? Is it an outdoor or indoor thing, or whenever and wherever you need it?I got this from the Pagan Blog Prompt blog. Their bloggy button is on my exchange page for those of you who want to check it out.
My sacred space is something I only create when I need it. I make it where ever I happen to need it. In the future I would really like to have a house with a room I can use as my Wiccan room. I might only be able to use half if Wolf needs the other half but that would still be enough. I really dislike having to use my brother's old room in my parents house which is where I am currently staying. My room is now the official guest room and my mother doesn't want my little doggie jumping up on her $500 bedding set. Go figure ;) Anyway I have this great picture of the room that I'll be able to measure out a full circle and maybe trace it in chalk or outline it in stones, I'll have my altar inside of it and my shrine on the outside. I'll have a nice glass china cabinet with all my supplies in it and maybe a bookshelf also. That is my dream place to create sacred space.

Pendulums
I ordered a really nice looking Pendulum off E-bay the other day. This was before I bought my new books and decided to start saving money. Which , by the way is only going to last until the Harry Potter movie. I digress. So, I've been reading up on pendulums, they don't seem to complicated to grasp. There is a short about them in the Llewellyn Magickal Almanac for 2010 which is what first got me interested. So, last night I was looking on www.witchforum.net about pendulums and I was directed to Pendulums - Crystalinks It looks really interesting so far and I might have to put some of the stuff in my divination journal to use for later. My pendulum will be here around Dec.1- Dec. 14th so not for some time. I am still working on Tarot and Runes stones as well. If anyone uses a pendulum I'd be glad for any stories or advice.

I just couldn't Help myself
I was in Barnes and Noble today turning in an application and I had a little money left over from paying the phone bill yesterday... I couldn't help myself. I bought the Llewellyn 2011 Magickal Almanac and the 2011 Planner. X.X I know I should be saving money but its been a while since I really bought myself anything. Saving money from here on out! Plus I need a job pretty badly. *Crosses fingers*
Protection while driving bag
So, Monday I went to visit Wolf which is a three hour drive away. Since Sunday is a good day to do protection Magick I made a little bag to take with me.
You will need:
A small black bag (I had one already but you can make one out of cloth if you wish)
Two whole Cloves
One whole Bay leaf
A Pinch of Rosemary leaves
A pinch of Salt
A piece of Parchment or Paper
A black pen or crayon
Cast your circle and call the quarters. The Goddess I used is Artemis because she is a Huntress and a Protector especially of woman.
On the paper write "Artemis, please protect me on my trip to __________ and back home." The draw the Runes Thorn and Rad right next to each other. Thorn is for protection, Rad for travel. Add the Cloves, Rosemary leaves, Bay leaf, Salt and then your prayer. Close the pouch and visualize your trip being safe. Leave on your Altar over night and put in your purse or in the car before your trip.

An online Rune reading
This is from http://www.facade.com/runes/ I blanked out the name of the town
How will my trip to A****** go?
The Cross spread is used to plot the arc of your life and the forces acting on it. It is the most popular spread, giving a very complete view of the situation. Ice Runes are most commonly used for questions about struggle, conflict, and achievement.
The left rune represents an important element of the past. Isa is the rune symbolizing Ice - cold, stagnant, frozen, and unchanging. This rune suggests heat removed not just from anger or conflict, but from passion as well. Paradoxically, Isa conveys images of slippery slopes and unsure footing, but also of circumstances that have crystallized and become utterly immutable. Remember that in the cold north, ice is not just THE challenge to be overcome, but the very nature of the environment. Be courageous, for you work against this element every day. Will you fight alone or with others against this, our common foe? Is there much worse than lack of change?
The middle rune represents a deciding element of the present. Thurisaz the thorn represents barriers and senseless violence. Here we see the thorn overturned. This could mean that erected barriers will not hold, or that senseless violence can be avoided. Also, remember where thorns are found - perhaps this rune portends that a goal can be obtained easily and without interference. Grasp for the rose...
The top rune represents a force that works for you. Fehu represents cattle the Norse symbol of wealth. This rune has some interesting implications based on the fact that cattle, unlike land, move about of their own accord. Cattle also reproduce, so this rune often speaks of wealth that renews or perpetuates itself. Wealth takes many forms, but this rune generally represents the value that is purely material or monetary in nature. Alternatively, this rune is deeply associated with Frey, and hence can be the harbinger of fertility and children.
The bottom Rune represents a force that works against you. Uruz is the name of the Auroch, an extinct prehistoric ox. This animal was strong and brave, and was the focus of rites of manhood in older days. Reversed, this rune symbolizes either the lack of challenge, or the lack of preparation for a challenge. This rune suggests that you must reach deep within in order to gain the power you will need, whether to get out of your current rut, or to face what appears to be a hopeless situation.
The right rune represents the critical element of the future, at the core of the final outcome. Ehwaz is the rune of the eight-legged horse that the god Odin rode into battle. Horses are symbolic of a number of things. Firstly, horses may symbolize vehicles such as cars, motorcycles, planes, or boats. Secondly, horses may symbolize not wealth, but status. Thirdly, horses may symbolize motion towards an objective. As such, this rune suggests a journey or a quest to achieve a goal or improve one's station in life. On a deeper level, the rune Ehwaz evokes the unique relationship of horse and rider as an inseparable team. To the modern eye this may be the relationship of master and underling, but to the Norse it was a total union. In fact, early representations of Odin are not of a man and a horse, but, of a centaur-like creature - the ultimate symbiosis of Man and Nature. |
Travel
Monday I am driving the three hours to visit Wolf at his dad's house. I am going to get up at 6:00 am to leave so I can be there by 9. My parents said they don't want me driving home at night so if I don't have a place to stay I'll have to be home by 5 which I don't want to do at all. I'm hoping Wolf would know somewhere for me to stay. I am thinking of putting the Chariot Tarot card under my pillow or will write a quick prayer to Bast to protect me and maybe help to find a place to stay the night. Tomorrow night though, I am going to take a shower/ ritual bath. ;)
On the more annoying side of things, my father was making a huge deal out of the whole thing. I'm not a kid anymore. I'm only living with them again till I can find a job...again. I think I'm going to try a employment prayer I found and sleep with the Feoh rune under my pillow for money.
Hopefully things get easier soon. Glad I have my friends to keep me insane and happy!
Blessed Be!

Journal
So I have filled out 23 and a half pages in my journal (see its entry below) with stuff from other books. Once I fill the whole book up, I will go back and pick out the stuff I want to keep and put it in my Book of Shadows, my Divination Journal, and my Herb/Crystal Journal. I have three separate three ring binders that I use. I think I've posted pictures of my BOS.
Some of the stuff I have in my Selene journal would be all 24 runes (I drew them myself...badly) their basic meanings and which gods they are associated with. A few recipes for drinks and food. A list of most of the Gods and Goddess in the Greek Pantheon. Nine important stones for witches to know and a section on pendulums. Also, different protection basics like stones, trees, herbs etc followed by a drinking water for the heart potion. A few pages on I have psychic exercises to do with Tarot cards, a money related prayer and bind rune, and lastly a section on glamoury. I'm going back through most of my books looking for stuff.
I would one day like to have
or
from http://www.brahmsbookworks.com/
the thing is they are like $400 a pop soooo yea. That might not happen for a long time. But if anyone wants to get me a consolation prize the almanac would be great.
